Dear GOP: Remember those wacky, off-the-wall, insulting, incredibly dangerous and damaging comments made by some of your “leaders”? You know like from Mitt Romney and Anne Coulter and Rush Limbaugh and Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachmann, and Todd Akin, and Richard Mourdock, and so, so many others? Remember how they all asked for forgiveness, or found God, or got “fixed” or conjured some other “Trumped” up way of not having to have it count against them? Remember what you all did? You forgave them, you said they found God, they’re seeking “help”, or they misspoke, or they were only kidding.
Well, Former Senator, a republican, has been nominated for Secretary of Defense. He’s incredibly well-qualified, and you all know it. You absolutely can’t stand the fact that the President knows it too. What’s the problem? Something he said in error 14 or so years ago, and has apologized for time and time again? What? He’s no longer “forgivable”? Can’t get over his mistake? He hasn’t learned? Or maybe it ‘s because he wants peace more than he wants war. What’s that you say? A republican that wants peace more than war, and will have the audacity toadvocate defense cuts? He’ll do it because he knows we still have enough military might to blow up the world 10 times over when 1 time ought to do it, and that money could be better used elsewhere? Or is it really that he’s a republican, and that he is open to working with President Obama? Let’s get real here…we all see the real problems here. Who do you think you’re kidding? You lost the election, again. GET OVER IT, and let’s get back to a civilized government, a government that listens to the people. The people have spoken. They once again, have put their trust in President Barack Obama. It’s about time you do the same.
